Thursday, May 22, 2025 - Senator Dino Melaye has questioned the current serving members of the National Assembly over their ‘inability’ to speak truth to power.
The former Kogi West Senato shared a video of himself
speaking truth to power while still being a member of the National Assembly.
In the video, Dino challenged then President Buhari's
attendance of a Global Educator Summit when his certificate was in doubt. In
the video, Dino stated that it was funny and putting Nigeria in a bad shade
that a President who his certification was in doubt was attending a global
summit for Education.
‘’It is very
funny that Buhari has gone to London to attend the Global Education Summit, It
is funny and is putting Nigeria in a very bad shape because I am wondering what
will Buhari be discussing in the Global Education Summit. This is a man that is
a School Cert failure and unfortunately, that certificate is even missing. We
have not seen it. There is no copy of it, and you are going to a global summit
where you have professors emeritus, intellectually mobile characters, people
with very high global intellectual IQ, and Buhari is going to sit down and
discuss what in a Global Education Summit''
Dino wondered how many lawmakers currently in office today
would have the courage to speak about presisident Tinubu as he did with Buhari
when he was in office.
‘’Dino
Melaye as a Senator was bold and fearless. How many senators who are in the
office today can speak like this? We miss a VOICE''
