Friday, May 30, 2025 - Hollywood actress Maria Bello has filed for divorce from her wife, celebrated chef Dominique Crenn, marking the end of their marriage after just one year.
Court documents filed on Wednesday, May 28, and obtained by
TMZ reveal that Bello listed April 7, 2025, as the official date of separation,
exactly one year from the date they were married. The actress cited
“irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
The couple, who have no minor children together, appear to
have a relatively straightforward legal separation ahead. Bello stated that
spousal support terms will be determined by a written agreement between the two
parties, and she has requested that the cost of mediation be shared equally. It
remains unclear whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place.
Bello and Crenn made their relationship public at the
Academy Awards in February 2020. The actress had announced their engagement in
December 2019 during a trip to Paris.
Dominique Crenn is renowned in the culinary world as the
only female chef in the United States with three Michelin stars, earned for her
acclaimed San Francisco restaurant, Atelier Crenn. She has appeared on the Food
Network, participated in various television shows, and served as a consultant
on the 2022 film The Menu starring Ralph Fiennes.
