Wednesday, May 14, 2025 - The Gombe State Police Command has arrested a 47-year-old man, Mohammed Magaji, for allegedly r3ping his 2-year-old stepdaughter in Tudun Wada Shamaki Quarters.
The command spokesperson, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, who disclosed
this in a statement on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, said the arrest was made
following a complaint by Magaji's wife.
"On
05/05/2025 at about 0932hrs, a formal complaint was received from one Hauwau
Usman "F" of Tudun Wada hamaki quarters reported that on 5/5/2025 at
about 0900hrs, her husband took his two-year-old stepdaughter to his room and
had unlawful carnal knowledge of her," the PPRO stated.
“Upon the
receipt of the complaint, a team of policemen drafted to the scene and arrested
the above-named suspect.
"The
victim was rushed to a specialist hospital for medical attention.
“The case will soon be charged to
court upon completion of the investigation.”
