Wednesday, March 12, 2025 - A fuel-laden tanker exploded under the Otedola bridge in Lagos state on Tuesday evening, March 11.
The 30-tonne DAF Gas Truck with an unknown registration number was
navigating the Lagos-Ibadan expressway when an accident occurred. The ensuing
explosion accompanied by fireballs occurred in front of a Redeemed Church.
The fire quickly spread to the church and an adjoining bungalow
building, as well as four different brands of vehicles, as it was mitigated.
The fire also affected the mechanic parks around.
No casualty has been reported
The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA says efforts are being made
to put out the fire.
