Saturday, March 22, 2025 - The elders of Rivers state have raised alarm over the whereabouts of the suspended governor of their state, Sim Fubara.
While speaking at a press conference in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state
capital today March 21, the elders said not even the close relatives of Fubara
have been able to speak to him since he was suspended from office by president
Tinubu on March 18.
Speaking on behalf of the elders, a member of the elder’s group, Anabs
Sara-Igbe, said
‘’The whereabouts of Similaye Fubara, the governor of Rivers state, is
unknown to Rivers people. He has not spoken to anybody. We have not seen him.
We are demanding that Fubara should come on TV if he is alive because we can
observe that Nyesom Wike can go to any length and Mr President is backing him.
They can do anything to this young man. Rivers people demand to know his
whereabouts and to know what is happening to him''
