Wednesday, March 5, 2025 - Veteran Nigerian winger, Ahmed Musa has been called up to the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 must-win World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe after almost a year of absence.
The Kano Pillars player was named in the 39-man provisional squad for
the qualifiers.
New Super Eagles boss, coach Eric Chelle also called up some Nigeria
Premier Football League (NPFL) stars for the games.
Kayode Bankole of Remo Stars, Rangers’ Ifeanyi Onyebuchi; Papa Daniel
Mustapha of Niger Tornadoes, and Musa were the home-based players invited by
the Malian gaffer.
The squad also sees the return of Remo Stars goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole,
and Southampton forward, Paul Onuachu, as Nigeria looks to revive its
qualification hopes.
The Super Eagles, currently fifth in Group C, will take on Rwanda in
Kigali on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 25.
