Monday, February 3, 2025 - Alvaro Morata has completed his surprise loan move to Turkish side Galatasaray for £5million from AC Milan.
The Spanish national team captain joined the reigning Super
Lig champions until January 2026 in a deal that includes a permanent
buy-clause.
"An agreement has been reached with AC Milan,"
Galatasaray announced on their web site.
Morata will receive a guaranteed salary of €3m for the
second half of the 2024-25 season and an additional €3m for the first half of
the 2025-26 campaign, Galatasaray said.
The Istanbul club said that the loan would last until
January 20, 2026, when they would have an option to buy or extend it.
If Galatasaray exercise the option, Morata will be entitled
to guaranteed salaries of €6m for the 2026-27 season and €6m for the 2027-28
season.
The transfer comes only days after Morata and his Italian
influencer wife, Alice Campello, announced they are back together following
their split five months ago.
