Tuesday, February 11, 2025 - Ghanaian pastor, Apostle Solomon Oduro, founder of Solomon Oduro Ministries, has officially announced the dissolution of his marriage to Rev. Charlotte Oduro, a well-known marriage counsellor.
In 2022, Rev. Charlotte Oduro advised women not to leave their husbands
over infidelity but instead to give them a good treat anytime they return from
having an extramarital affair.
According to her, women should not bug their husbands or push them away
with unnecessary complaints and criticisms anytime they detect such acts.
As a guest on Accra-based Okay FM with host Abieku Santana, Oduro said
people should endeavour to be considerate to their fellow humans and not be
quick to judge them.
“When your husband returns home from cheating, let him settle, give him
good s3x and food. It’s not right for anyone to cheat. Yes, it is wrong but we
have all done wrong so we should be human. Let’s think thoroughly before we
judge. It’s not right to do it but let’s give people a listening ear. After
paying attention and listening, you can detect whether their actions were as a
result of a mistake, or it was deliberate,” she stated.
In a press release issued on Monday, February 10, 2025, her husband,
Apostle Oduro stated that the decision to dissolve the marriage was reached
after much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration.
“After much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration,
irreconcilable differences have necessitated this move,” the statement read.
According to the release, the couple had been separated for the past
three years and officially dissolved their marriage traditionally last year.
Apostle Oduro, who described himself as “a man of God, a public figure,
and a role model to many,” said he felt it was his duty to officially
communicate the development to the public to prevent misinformation,
speculation, or undue controversy.
“I humbly request that this sensitive transition be met with
understanding,” he said.
Apostle Oduro has called on his loved ones, well-wishers, and the Body
of Christ to uphold both himself and Rev. Charlotte Oduro in prayers as they
navigate this transition.
“May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guide all hearts and minds during this season of transition,” the statement concluded.
