Tuesday, February 25, 2025 - Franky Venegas, one half of the viral TikTok duo Island Boys, has been arrested in Florida on gun and drug charges, TMZ has learned.
The 22-year-old social media star was taken into custody on Sunday and
booked into the Collier County Jail in Naples, FL. Police records show he was
charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and
delivering, possessing, selling, or altering a firearm with an altered serial
number.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Venegas was arrested
around 10 PM after a deputy in an unmarked unit pulled over a yellow Corvette
that allegedly ran a stop sign while exiting a gas station. The car’s license
plate tags were expired, but its registration was later confirmed to be valid.
A woman was driving, with Venegas as the passenger. Both were asked to exit the
vehicle.
A search of the car led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing
suspected Oxycodone pills on the passenger side floorboard. The bag allegedly
contained seven Oxycodone 10mg pills and five Oxycodone and Acetaminophen
pills. Venegas denied ownership but claimed to have a prescription, which he
was unable to provide.
Authorities also found a brown handbag labeled "MGM" on the
passenger-side floor, which contained a handgun with no serial numbers, a
plastic cut straw, and credit cards bearing Venegas’ name. A cut straw with a
white powdery residue was discovered in the car's center console.
The police report identified Venegas as a "documented gang
member/associate."
Venegas rose to fame alongside his twin brother, Alex, in 2021 with
their viral song "I'm an Island Boy," which catapulted them to TikTok
stardom. Also known as Kodiyakredd, Franky has a history of arrests for
domestic battery, reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle without a
license.
With this latest arrest, he now faces two more charges. Representatives
for the Island Boys have not yet responded to requests for comment.
