Wednesday, February 5, 2025 - US President Trump will attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, a White House official told NBC News.
The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on
Sunday at 6:30 p.m ET. This will be the Chiefs' third straight appearance in
the Super Bowl.
By attending the matchup between the Kansas City
Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, Trump would become the first sitting
U.S. president to attend a Super Bowl.
Trump is expected to appear on Fox News for an interview with Bret
Baier, according to Axios. The interview will be taped at Trump's estate
at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, and will air during the Fox pregame show
at 3 p.m. ET.
Trump has made multiple football appearances in recent months. He
delivered a virtual address during the College Football Playoff National
Championship Game on Jan. 20, which came just hours after he was inaugurated,
and also attended a Jets-Steelers game in Pittsburgh in October.
This will be the first time in three years that a U.S. president has
agreed to a network interview for Super Bowl pregame coverage. President Joe
Biden opted not to sit with Fox News and CBS News in 2023 and 2024.
