Monday, February 3, 2025 - Former Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has hailed the team’s 5-1 win over Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Gunners thrashed the reigning champions to go within six points of
Liverpool.
Martin Ødegaard opened the scoring in the second minute, but Erling
Haaland equalised after the break.
The hosts took the lead again through Thomas Partey. Youngster Myles
Lewis-Skelly grabbed his first-ever goal for the club before Kai Havertz and
Ethan Nwaneri also got on the scoresheet.
“When they play like that, they’re difficult to stop,” Henry said on Sky
Sports.
“Let’s enjoy it – it [beating City like that] doesn’t happen often.
“Liverpool are still six points ahead with a game in hand. Let’s carry
on working the way we did in the last 30 minutes.”
