Tuesday, January 28, 2025 - Marseille forward, Mason Greenwood has welcomed former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba to join him at his club this January transfer window.
Greenwood and Pogba were former teammates during their time together at
Manchester United.
Pogba is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus was
terminated last November.
The France World Cup winner has been linked with a number of clubs in
Europe and also Saudi Arabia.
Speaking about Pogba, Greenwood said any club in Europe would love to
have the midfielder, adding that it would be ‘great’ if the 31-year-old joined
him at Marseille.
“He’s a great man, professional, who has taken me under his wing,”
Greenwood told French outlet Telefoot.
“He’s a top player. Any team in Europe would love to have him. If he
came here it would be great.”
Discussing his next move recently, Pogba said: “There are proposals,
some of which are interesting and some not so much. Russia and so on, there
were proposals but that is not the goal.”
“We always want to join the best clubs. After that, it doesn’t depend on
me, it depends on many other things.”
