Tuesday, December 31, 2024 - Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has denied having an agreement with the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his counterpart from Labour Party Peter Obi.
Kwankwaso said claims of him ruling Nigeria for four years, Atiku ruling
former four years, while Obi for eight years was false.
Speaking in an interview with BBC, the former Kano State governor said
he was unaware of such a plan.
He, however, admitted to have heard that members of Atiku’s camp are
consulting and having meetings with regional leaders and clerics to push such
narrative.
According to Kwankwaso: “I did not appreciate this at all.
“They were told that I had agreed to a deal where Atiku would serve for
four years, I would serve for another four years, and Peter Obi would serve for
eight years.
“This is completely false; such an agreement never existed.
“Such lies and deceit are precisely why we left. Myself, Peter Obi,
Wike, and others all left.
“Now they are coming back, asking us to help those who humiliated us to
achieve their goals.”
