Tuesday, December 24, 2024 - The number of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, lawmakers in the Edo State House of Assembly has been reduced by one as Ojiezele Osezua Sunday, on Monday, defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ojiezele is representing the Esan South-East constituency.
The lawmaker who was elected on the platform of APC between 2019 and
2023, was among the 10 lawmakers who were inaugurated by the immediate past
Governor Godwin Obaseki.
He, however, defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, he was also
re-elected in the 2023 general election on the platform of PDP.
The two-time lawmaker was received by the Acting State chairman of the
party, Jarret Tenebe alongside members of the state executive council.
Ojiezele, who described his defection as homecoming noted that he left
PDP because of the irreconcilable crisis rocking the party both in the state
and at the national levels.
