After the principal was kidnapped, the gunmen reached out to the church,
demanding a ransom of N50M for his release.
In a statement on the church’s Facebook page, Pastor Chinyere condemned
the kidnappers’ demand for ransom.
He emphasized that he would not use church funds, specifically tithes
and offerings, to pay ransom.
Pastor Chinyere instead urged the kidnappers to release the principal,
surrender their weapons, and seek repentance and rehabilitation. He offered
them free rehabilitation, skill training, prayer, and guidance.
He urged the kidnappers to take advantage of the offer, emphasizing
God’s love and willingness to give them a second chance.
“Just recieved news that the principal of
OPM free school JOS., A free school that is helping northern children to go to
school FREE OF CHARGE has been kidnapped and they are asking for 50 million.
“I know they are reading this my messages,I
NO GO GIVE SHISHI.,You better release him so you don’t face the ANGER OF GOD
because l can never ever use tithes and offerings which is GOD’s money to pay
ransom to kidnappers. NEVER.
“You can release him today, come to OPM
CHURCH, surrender your guns and be rehabilitated FREE OF CHARGE. And | will
pray for you. GOD IS GOOD..And learn different skills FREE OF CHARGE. GOD loves
you and can give you a second chance.”
