Tuesday, November 26, 2024 -The Grammy-nominated artist, real name Tyron Kaymone Frampton, faces two charges of r@ping a woman after a gig in Oxford on September 8, 2021.
He 'categorically' denies the charges and claims he
is 'confident' his name will be cleared.
Frampton's trial is set to open tomorrow after
being delayed from a previous date in May.
Co-defendant Alex Blake-Walker is also due to stand
trial accused of the same charges.
The attack allegedly took place after Frampton performed at the
Bullingdon Club, an exclusive dining club at the University of Oxford.
Both he and Balke-Walker deny the charges against them.
The jury was sworn in today ahead of the trial's opening on
Tuesday.
Judge Ian Pringle told the jury of eight men and four women they should not
discuss the case with anyone, do any research, and avoid news reports of the
trial.
'This case may attract some publicity. If it does, please remember a
reporter's report is just their view of the case,' he said.
'What matters is what you make of the evidence in the case. Try not to
read, listen or watch any reports if it does come about.
'Remember it is your view of the case that matters.'The judge said the
trial was expected to last up to three weeks.
