Wednesday, October 16, 2024 - Adedeji Adeleke, the father of multiple award-winning Nigerian artiste, Davido, has revealed that his company, Pacific Energy, generates about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity.
Adeleke disclosed this during the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s General
Conference Annual Council 2024, held on 15 October.
The billionaire highlighted his investments in the nation’s power
sector, saying his thermal power plant is expected to become fully operational
by January 2025.
Adeleke noted that Chinese engineering firms are involved in the
construction of the plant, which, upon completion, will be the largest thermal
power plant in Nigeria, with a capacity of 1,250 megawatts.
In one of the videos of the conference shared by Davido on his X account
on Wednesday, Adeleke said partly, “I’m in the electricity business, I own
power plants. I generate about 15 per cent of Nigeria’s electricity. I’ve
Chinese engineering companies that work for me. I am building the biggest
thermal power plant in Nigeria to be launched in January 2025. It’s a 1250MW
power plant.”

Our parents always taught us to take everything to God in all that we do.
I hope this testimony inspires others not to give up when faced with those trying to stand between them and their goals.
This is why I dance to praise my God. https://t.co/U4g5A4no0t
