Troops kill two terrorists in Kaduna, recover weapons

- Troops of the Nigerian Army conducting clearance operations have neutralized two terrorists and recovered arms in Kaduna State. 

The troops subdued the terrorist elements during an ongoing operation at Gama Gira Village, in Igabi Local Government Area on Thursday 4 July 2024, resulting in the elimination of two armed members of the terrorist group.

The Army disclosed this in a statement on Friday, adding that troops also recovered one PKT gun from fleeing terrorists 

 “On exploitation, the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle and one magazine loaded with 7 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition. Other items recovered during the operation are one Tecno mobile phone, a phone charger and a cash sum of One Hundred and Two Thousand, Ten naira only,” the statement read.

 "In a separate operation, troops recovered one PKT gun from fleeing terrorists at Jangeme Ruwan Kunku general area

 "The recovery was made after troops exploited the general area following a sustained operation that led to the dislodgement of the terrorists in the area.

“The gallant troops are maintaining aggressive operations to clear the remnants of the insurgents in the general area.”
