Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of
filing this report but it was gathered that the bandits attacked the community
on Thursday night, May 9, 2024.
According to reports, the attackers reportedly operated for
over two hours and injured other villagers who are currently receiving medical
treatment.
The bandits rode on motorcycles and blocked all entries and
exits in the community before going on a rampage. They reportedly went to
houses, killing mostly women while most men escaped into the bush.
Among those killed was Alh Babangida Bala Bilbis, a protocol
officer at the Government House in Gusau and Bilyaminu Bello Bilbis.
The victims were buried on Friday morning.
