The explosion killed nine-year-old
Jomiloju Taiwo and injured his sister, seven-year-old Pipeloluwa Taiwo, leaving
her with burns.
The aforementioned are children of
one Mr Taiwo Nicholas, a resident of the community.
The incident happened at about 1.33pm when
the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company restored power supply to the
community shortly after a power outage. Shortly after power was restored, a
loud noise was heard, which was suspected to have come from the electric
transformer.
