Spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
Bauchi State Command, DSC Fatima Adamu, who disclosed this in a statement on
Thursday, February 22, said four other members of the robbery gang were
arrested.
According to Adamu, on 21st February, 2024, at about 002:50hrs, NSCDC
received a distress call of robbery activity around old burial ground area
Misau.
On reaching the scene, the Corps discovered that one of the robbery
suspects was apprehended by the community mob.
“The suspect confessed they are six in number. He was beaten by
the mob to a pulp and was taken to the General Hospital Misau where he was
later certified dead by the medical doctor,”
Four members of the gang have been arrested by operatives of the
Corps namely: Jamilu Ibrahim (m) 22 years, resident of Railway quarters,
Bauchi, Nuhu Ya,u (m) 19 years, resident of Unguwan Karofi Bauchi, Abubakar
Abdulmumin (m) 22 years, resident of Railway quarters, close to ECWA 2 church,
Bauchi and Alhassan Hussaini (m) 20 years, resident of Unguwan Kandahar,
Bauchi,"
The spokesperson added that other members of the gang are still at
large.
The exhibits recovered from the suspects include, cutlasses, locally
made ammunition, daggers, knives, smart phones and charms.
